Alaina Verkinnes, M.A. CCC-SLP

Hi there! My name is Alaina and I'm a certified pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist. Prior to obtaining my undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at University of Moorhead, MN and graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of South Dakota, I grew up in Williston, ND. I first began my career as an outpatient SLP, seeing children in their homes and daycares, where I conducted speech-language assessments, provided therapeutic services, and met with parents to discuss goals and progress. I then worked as an early childhood SLP for a school district ages 3-5 and Kindergarten-2nd grade, who presented with a variety of communication deficits. Although I have wide array of experience in the pediatric world of speech and language therapy, I have been drawn to serving kiddos with language disorders, autism, behavioral issues (due to poor communication skills), cognitive disorders, and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). I am passionate about educating and equipping children and their families with the tools necessary to best express themselves. Eric and I live in Princeton, MN. We have a handsome and sassy toddler (nicknamed "Tornado"). We like to spend our free time with our family and friends. We enjoy the lake and golf. We love our community and hope that this will give me an opportunity to connect with more people.
